The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, supervision, and quality assurance of all mechanical systems and equipment in construction projects. The role requires hands-on site experience, technical expertise, and coordination with other disciplines to ensure that mechanical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design standards and project specifications.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of solid experience in on-site mechanical works within commercial, industrial, and residential construction settings.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Design

  • Review mechanical plans, specifications, and design drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and evaluate technical documents such as shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates, cost analyses, and mechanical work schedules.

Construction & Site Supervision

  • Supervise and monitor all mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and equipment installation.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure proper implementation of mechanical systems according to approved drawings and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams for work sequencing and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure that mechanical installations meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Testing & Commissioning

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and balancing of mechanical systems.
  • Verify system functionality, efficiency, and compliance with performance requirements prior to handover.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, material consumption, manpower deployment, and daily site activities.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly accomplishment reports to the Project Manager.
  • Document deviations or non-conformances and propose corrective actions.

Coordination & Client Relations

  • Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Provide technical input and recommendations during project discussions and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PRC).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in site mechanical works within commercial, industrial, and residential construction.
  • Strong background in HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical utilities.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling, cost estimation, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
  • Willing to be assigned on-site and work extended hours when necessary.

Working Conditions

  • Site-based assignment within project locations (commercial, industrial, and residential). Must be willing to work in different locations within CALABARZON.
  • Regular working hours with flexibility for overtime, weekend, or night work as project requires.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php23, Php40,000.00 per month
