About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PMO & Operations Lead – Command Centre to drive operational excellence, streamline technology usage, and lead strategic cost‑saving initiatives across the organization. This role is instrumental in building a centralized command centre, optimizing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate brings experience in construction project environments, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for leveraging technology, automation, and data-driven insights to deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Savings Initiatives

  • Lead and implement company-wide cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose automation-driven solutions.
  • Develop structured project management plans to support financial targets.
  • Guide the team in reporting unnecessary costs and identifying process gaps.

Technology & Compliance Monitoring

  • Oversee technology usage, deployment, and optimization.
  • Develop insights from usage and compliance metrics to support decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance best-practice technology profiles.

Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Refine compliance tracking tools, dashboards, and reporting structures.
  • Provide proactive compliance support and training to business units.

Command Centre Operations

  • Establish and manage a centralized Command Centre for monitoring activities.
  • Design dashboards and reporting systems for real-time visibility.
  • Enhance tools and workflows to support Command Centre objectives.

Automation & Reporting Enhancements

  • Utilize automation technologies and AI to streamline company processes.
  • Build actionable dashboards and alerts for performance and compliance.
  • Improve reporting systems to enable data-driven decision-making.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Operations, and other teams.
  • Lead regular process reviews and action planning.
  • Foster a culture focused on operational excellence.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achieve annual cost-saving targets
  • Improve resource and technology utilization
  • Maintain 100% operational and regulatory compliance
  • Deliver measurable process improvements
  • Drive strong collaboration with stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

  • Background in construction projects, with solid industry process knowledge
  • Strong experience in project data reporting and technology management
  • Exposure to automation, AI-driven concepts, and process optimization
  • Good understanding of Australian construction compliance frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferred: Experience handling ICT deliverables in construction environments
