About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in finance and insurance projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring that solutions align with business goals and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for finance and insurance-related systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand pain points, propose improvements, and ensure solutions deliver measurable value.
  • Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test cases, managing defect tracking, and ensuring successful validation of solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams to bridge communication gaps and align expectations.
  • Analyze and document current vs. future state business processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards relevant to finance and insurance.
  • Provide post-implementation support and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the finance and insurance sectors.
  • Strong understanding of financial and insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., process modeling, requirements elicitation, user stories).
  • Hands-on experience with project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with business intelligence or data analytics tools.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, core banking, or insurance system migration projects.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or Agile certifications (a plus).

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Php70, Php75,000.00 per month
