Job Summary:

As the Line cook, you will take the lead in overseeing all kitchen operations at Golden Bamboo Restaurant. You will be responsible for menu development, food quality, kitchen efficiency, and team management. The ideal candidate is an experienced culinary professional who is passionate about creating memorable dining experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation.
  • Create and design menus that reflect the restaurant's brand, incorporating seasonal ingredients and authentic flavors.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in food presentation, taste, and portion control.
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and keeping food costs within budget.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Monitor kitchen performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and an exceptional guest experience.
  • Keep up with culinary trends and continuously refine the restaurant's offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Line cook, or Sous Chef in a full-service, high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong background in Asian cuisine (Chinese cuisine), with a deep understanding of flavor profiles and traditional cooking techniques.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php30,000.00 per month
