Job Summary

We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Dumoy Dialysis Unit Team. The role ensures continuity of holistic patient care through safe and efficient delivery of hemodialysis treatment, in compliance with physician's orders and hospital protocols. The Staff Nurse will coordinate care with consultants, residents, physicians-on-duty, and other health professionals to provide quality nursing service to patients with renal conditions.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper endorsement and monitoring of patients before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment.
  • Carry out physician's orders, validate hemodialysis treatment protocols, and ensure accurate patient documentation.
  • Initiate dialysis procedures and maintain machine safety, aseptic technique, and infection prevention.
  • Perform cannulation, monitor ultrafiltration rate, assess vascular access, and respond to machine alarms and complications.
  • Monitor patient condition and vital signs, reporting abnormalities promptly to the attending physician.
  • Supervise technicians in preparing, setting up, and cleaning dialysis equipment.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and families in line with the care plan.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, standards, and safety guidelines to ensure patient-centered care.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Must be a licensed nurse (Philippine Board of Nursing)
  • Preferably with experience in hemodialysis or renal nursing, but newly licensed nurses are welcome to apply
  • Skilled in direct nursing care and cannulation procedures
