Mechatronics Teacher

 Technical Competence

o Strong foundation in mechanical systems (mechanisms, pneumatics,

hydraulics, actuators)

o Proficiency in electrical and electronic systems (sensors, transducers, motor

control, power supplies)

o Knowledge of automation and control systems, including Programmable Logic

Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and SCADA

o Familiarity with robotics, CNC, and mechatronic integration for industrial

applications

o Skills in system integration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of

mechatronics equipment

o Application of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, smart sensors, and

industrial networking

 Pedagogical Competence

o Ability to design and deliver a competency-based curriculum aligned with

TESDA CBC and industry practices

o Preparation of lesson plans, learning modules, and lab activities using

mechatronics trainers, simulators, and real industrial equipment

o Demonstration of wiring, programming, and mechanical assembly in a

practical learning environment

o Competence in assessment methods (written, oral, and performance-based)

following TESDA's CBLM/CBA standards

 Safety and Industry Standards

o Application of Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) in workshop

and laboratory activities

o Implementation of lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance and

troubleshooting

o Compliance with Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), ISO, IEC, and other

relevant international mechatronics standards

 Soft Skills

o Strong communication and facilitation skills to explain multidisciplinary

concepts

o Coaching and mentoring abilities to guide learners in hands-on, project-based

learning

o Problem-solving and analytical thinking in system diagnostics and integration

o Adaptability to rapidly evolving mechatronics technologies and industry

requirements

 Trainer Qualification Standards (TESDA Benchmark)

o Holder of NC II/NC III in Mechatronics Servicing, or higher-level qualifications

in automation, robotics, or related fields

o Possession of Trainer's Methodology Level I or II certification

o Relevant industry experience in mechatronics, automation, robotics, or

industrial maintenance
