Electrical Teacher

 Technical Competence

o Strong understanding of AC and DC motor types, applications, and ratings

o Knowledge of motor control circuits (DOL, star-delta, reversing, jogging,

sequence control)

o Familiarity with modern control devices such as VFDs, soft starters, contactors,

relays, and timers

o Skilled in troubleshooting and maintenance using tools like multimeters, clamp

meters, and meggers

 Pedagogical Competence

o Ability to design and implement competency-based lesson plans

o Skill in demonstrating wiring practices, motor control setups, and troubleshooting

techniques

o Competence in conducting competency-based assessments aligned with TESDA

standards

o Effective use of teaching aids, diagrams, and actual training equipment

 Safety and Industry Standards

o Application of Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) provisions

o Strict adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)

o Practice of lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and use of PPE during training activities

 Soft Skills

o Clear communication and ability to simplify complex concepts

o Coaching and mentoring learners during hands-on activities

o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

o Adaptability to new technologies in motor control and automation

 Trainer Qualification Standards (TESDA Benchmark)

o Holder of NC II or NC III in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, or related

qualifications (e.g., Mechatronics, Industrial Automation)

o Possession of Trainer's Methodology Level I or II certification

o Relevant industry experience in electrical motor control, maintenance, or

automation
