Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Engineer with a strong background in wastewater treatment operations. The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and optimization of our wastewater treatment facility. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations and maintaining the efficiency of our processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and related equipment.
  • Monitor process parameters to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental standards.
  • Conduct routine tests and analyses to track key water quality indicators.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions for any process deviations.
  • Optimize chemical dosing, process efficiency, and resource consumption to reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local and national environmental regulations (e.g., DENR standards).
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on plant performance, data analysis, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the wastewater treatment process.
  • Maintain detailed records of operations, test results, and maintenance logs.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a Licensed Chemical Engineer.
  • Proven hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, including biological treatment, physical-chemical treatment, and sludge management.
  • Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations related to water pollution and wastewater discharge.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
