Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Operations Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Implement and maintain robust network security protocols to safeguard against unauthorized access and threats.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and execute necessary upgrades.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance network efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on network-related concerns to internal teams and end-users.
  • Manage network capacity planning and bandwidth optimization to ensure scalability.
  • Plan and execute routine maintenance activities such as software updates, patching, backups, and reboots.
  • Utilize Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools to proactively monitor system health.
  • Support client onboarding/offboarding processes, including agent/software installation and removal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in network engineering or administration, ideally in an MSP environment.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Proficiency with network devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) and RMM tools (ConnectWise, Kaseya, N-able).
  • Solid grasp of network security principles and technologies.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
