Job Title: Senior Manager, Merchandising – Private Label and Direct ImportDepartment: MerchandisingReports To: Head of Merchandising / Chief Merchandising OfficerLocation: Tabaco CityJob Summary:The Senior Manager, Merchandising – Private Label and Direct Import is responsible for leading the strategy, development, sourcing, and execution of the private label and direct import portfolio across all product categories. This role focuses on building exclusive, competitive, and high-quality offerings that strengthen brand differentiation, increase margin performance, and meet evolving customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:Private Label Management:Develop and implement the overall strategy for private label product lines in alignment with company goals. Identify opportunities for product development based on customer trends, market gaps, and competitive landscape. Lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, QA, logistics, and operations to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management.

Oversee product branding, packaging design, and positioning to ensure alignment with brand standards. Ensure private label products meet cost, quality, and regulatory standards. Direct Import Sourcing:Lead direct sourcing initiatives for key product categories from global suppliers and manufacturers.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements with international vendors. Ensure compliance with import regulations, documentation requirements, and logistics coordination. Monitor international market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks.

Strategic & Financial Management:Drive sales, profitability, and margin growth through effective assortment planning, cost control, and supplier management. Analyze sales and category performance data to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions. Develop annual budgets and sales forecasts for private label and imported lines.

Collaborate with finance and supply chain teams to manage working capital and inventory levels. Leadership & Collaboration:Lead and develop a team of category managers or buyers responsible for private label and import merchandise. Build strong partnerships with key domestic and international suppliers.

Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA is a plus. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in retail merchandising, private label development, and/or international sourcing.

Proven track record of launching and managing successful private label programs. Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills, especially in international trade. Knowledge of regulatory compliance, labeling standards, and import documentation.

Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills. Proficiency in merchandising systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
