Company Nurse

The Company Nurse will be providing professional basic and emergency healthcare services to our employees, members and guests. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing Health and Safety Programs, assessing health risks, in addition to the prevention and treatment of resultant illness or injury. They should also assess the work environment to identify any work hazards, and plan intervention programs accordingly. The Company Nurse should promote good health among employees by assessing them at regular intervals, keeping health records for every employee, and maintaining good communication with company management regarding healthcare and safety.
- Provide Basic Healthcare services
a. Create a clean, complete, and comfortable sickbay area.
b. Obtaining and keeping records of Vital Signs of Employees and Members.
c. Administer over-the-counter medication to employees, members and guests.
d. Monitoring patients that needs resting.
e. Attend to patient and give professional consultations.
- Perform initial first aid and emergency treatment.
a. Nurse on Duty during events or programs, if requested.
b. If needed, transport the patient to the Nearest Hospital with the coordination of ERT and Security personnel.
If injured patient is a member or guest, he/she must be accompanied by a family member or friends.
Regular employees has Health Card.
Casual employees must be accompanied by their coordinator or their supervisor as Financer.
Sick Employees
a. Assessing the condition of employees and make recommendations if needed to go home or consult a doctor.
b. Follow-up employees who are confined at the hospital.
c. Advise to submit Medical certification with "Fit to Work" upon going back to work.
- Keeping and maintaining records of the following:
a. First Aid Report
b. Clinic Assessment Forms with Medical certificates
c. Medical Case Report
d. Incident Reports of Lifeguards and ERTs.
e. Lactation forms
f. Pre/Annual Employment Examination Records
g. Employee and Members confidential health records.
h. Occupational and Health permits of employees.
i. Clinic Inventories
j. HMO related documents.
k. Philhealth related documents.
l. Water test results from third-party contractor.
m. DOLE/Monthly Reports
n. Contracts
- Lactation Area
a. Provide a clean and comfortable lactation area for employees and members inside the clinic.
b. Collect and record lactation forms of employees.
c. Assist and give advices when needed.
- Log books and Endorsements
a. Endorse accomplishments, monitoring, and to-dos to the next shift nurse before and after duty.
b. Always check Log Books for endorsements.
c. Communicate with the Clinic Supervisor and Management on a daily basis.
Submit monthly illnesses and DOLE reports/documentations to management.
Medicines and Medical Supplies inventory
a. Accomplish Daily Clinic Equipment Checklist.
b. Monitor Medicine Log Sheet at the Clinic and HR.
c. Monitor medicine and supplies consumption and frequency – should be done at least once a week.

Medicine Kit Station (4):

- Hydro testing and refilling by oxygen tank supplier.
e. Daily monitoring of AED per shift placed at the Gym and Main reception.
- Medicines and Medical Supplies Requisition
a. Fill up form "Medicines & Medical Supplies Requisition and PR forms from Purchasing Office.
b. Have it sign with our HR manager and Financial Controller.
c. Fax it to our supplier (Rose Pharmacy – Festival Mall) and verify to Ms. Carla if received.
d. Forward PR forms at Purchasing Office.
e. Requisition is monthly done at the last week of the month.
f. Record supplies once delivered.
- Health card / HMO
a. Status information for all employees to be coordinated with HR-benefits.
b. HMO renewal
c. HMO Contract
d. Application for newly regularized employees
e. Termination of health card for resigned employees.
f. Hierarchy of application (DH's – Open Private, dependents under Small Private / Middle Managers – Small Private, dependents under Same plan / Rank & File – Semi-Private, dependents under same plan or ward)
g. Check SOA's and process Check request for payment
- Process Philhealth documents for confinement claims.
a. Accomplish the CSF, CSF-1 and request for document slip.
b. Attach the MDR
c. Submit it to HR and Accounting for processing.
- Pre-employment Examination Clinic
a. Check contract date
b. Canvassing proposal for pre-employment examination
c. Make matrix of comparison
d. Submit to HR manager for approval
- Annual Physical Examination
a. Canvassing proposals for mobile clinics
b. Make matrix of comparison
c. Submit to HR manager for approval
d. Responsible for the distribution of results and explaining doctor's recommendation
f. Process Health Certificate and Occupational Permit at City Health Office.
- Executive Check up
a. Usually done every first month of the year (January)
b. ECU is for Managers only (Department Heads)
c. Canvass for Medical Clinics for Executive Check up
d. Make schedule for their check-up, coordinate with the clinic.
- Improve the health of employees through on-going programs and health checks for all employees. Initiate the following:
a. Vaccination Program
b. "Blood Donation Program" to be conducted by Philippine Red Cross
c. STD/HIV mass testing to be conducted by City Health Office
- Develop strategies and implement health and safety programs to ensure maximum employee work input.
a. Organizing First Aid Training to be conducted by Philippine Red Cross
b. Participating to the Quarterly Fire and Earthquake drill by The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
- Provide regular health information to prevent chronic and short-term illnesses.
a. Prepare 4 Articles per month to be posted at the Health and Wellness board.
b. Facilitate Wellness lectures to be conducted by City Health Office and HMO partner.
c. Facilitate Wellness Activity at least twice a month.
- Identify workplace hazard, infection control and intervention programs.
a. Facilitate ERT meeting at least once a month.
b. Conduct random ocular inspection inside the club and report risks hazards, if present.
c. Submit documentations to immediate supervisor and management.
Attend seminar workshops on Occupational health and Continuous professional development seminars to be updated on the latest trends about the healthcare programs.
Reviews and recommends improvements in the existing practices relative to health programs.
Qualifications:
- Must be a registered nurse
- Hospitality work experience is an advantage
- With BLS and First Aid Training skills
- People oriented and good communication skills
