About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled Web Directory Developer with advanced expertise in WordPress, PHP, and dynamic directory

systems. This role involves leading the development of high-performance directory websites using Custom Post Types (CPTs),

dynamic schema, and custom integrations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and capable of building complex, scalable, and SEO-optimized directory

solutions that deliver excellent user experience and performance.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Advanced Directory Development (Heavy Emphasis)

• Lead the development and maintenance of custom directory sites using dynamic content loops, tags, and CPTs integrated into dynamic schema.

• Design scalable solutions that support high-performance searching, indexing, and data retrieval for client directories.

• (Preferred) Implement Voxel integration, leveraging CPTs, custom fields, and themes like Elementor/Voxel to build advanced directories with dynamic and spatial data functionality.

• Apply advanced SEO techniques using tools like RankMath and implement precise markup for structured data enhancement.

2. WordPress, PHP, and WooCommerce Mastery

• Develop, maintain, and customize complex WordPress and WooCommerce websites with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
• Build custom plugins and themes from scratch when off-the-shelf solutions do not meet project requirements.
• Manage advanced WooCommerce setups, including subscription modifications, automated exports, and integrations with WooCommerce Memberships and Gravity Forms as product add-ons.
• Utilize Custom Post Types (CPTs) and custom fields with tools such as Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or Toolset.

3. Core Development & Maintenance

• PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery Proficiency: Strong command of PHP and jQuery with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code efficiently. Familiarity with modern frameworks such as React or Vue is a plus.
• HTML/CSS Expertise: Skilled in static coding, precise element targeting, and rapid CSS debugging for pixel-perfect design execution.
• Code Literacy: Ability to read, understand, and enhance existing codebases developed in multiple builders (e.g., DIVI, Elementor, Bricks, WP Bakery, Gutenberg) without extensive guidance.
• API Integration: Confident in integrating third-party APIs (both familiar and new) to implement custom functionalities.
• Version Control: Experience with Git or similar tools for collaborative development.

Must-Have Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 3–5 years of proven experience in WordPress, directory site development, or custom web applications.
• Strong portfolio showcasing directory builds, custom plugins, and WordPress integrations.
