What will you do as an Automation Software Engineer?

Reporting to the Automation Engineering Lead, your accountabilities will include:

• Technical design and development of quality automation solutions based upon agreed architectural principles, best practices and guidance.
• Work with multiple internal teams, and product leads to understand the need or opportunity for automation
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and organizational coding standards.
• Ensure that the solution meets the necessary performance, scalability, and security standards, addressing any potential risks or vulnerabilities.
• Actively seek opportunities for improvement and contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the technology solution, keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices, and sharing these with colleagues.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential:

• Hands on experience with RPA and Automation development
• A willingness to learn new things, combined with significant experience or an understanding of automation approaches, implementation and the direction of travel of emergent AI libraries and capabilities
• Strong architectural design experience, specifically focused on scalable, reusable components and solutions
• Strong problem-solving mindset, ability to learn quickly, and adapt to emerging technologies.
• Proven experience in software development with a high level of autonomy, following best practices and coding standards.

Desirable:

• Use of RPA tools like UiPath and Appian
• Familiarity with no-code platforms, agentic systems, and prompt flow engineering.
