KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Action loan applications including both new mortgage applications, personal loan applications and variations.
• Undertake quality credit risk based decisions to ensure consistent, accurate and timely outcomes.
• Action complex loan applications including new mortgage applications, personal loan applications and variations.
• Ensure lending decisions are executed in line with credit policy and approval authority limits and/or in consultation with the appropriate signatory.
• Deliver consistent and superior service levels to internal lending officers, brand partners, 3rd party networks and internal teams.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to internal lending officers, brand partners, 3rd party networks and relationship managers.
• Achieve relevant individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and positive contribute to the achievement of team KPI's and monthly targets.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure roster requirements are met to support the the achievement of customer expectations and SLA's.
• Develop working knowledge of all functions carried out within the group to enable answering of routine enquiries and referral of enquiries to appropriate internal contacts.
• Respond to enquiries in a timely manner.
• Ensure all relevant databases (e.g. e-mms) are maintianed with current real time information.
• Ensure the integrity of data entered on to and retrieved from the database/s.
• Ensure statutory, code and other compliance requirements are met.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the relevant legislation.
• Adhere to and promote company business practices and services standards.
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with team members, colleagues and clients

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 2-3 years recent experience in Australian residential mortgage loan assessment with an Australian based company is required, with individual approval delegations held.
• Presents a good level of technical and professional skill / knowledge relevant to the role, whilst keeping up with current developments and trends in area of expertise.
• Has the desire and ability to think outside the square in a solutions based environment.
• Displays a sense of urgency about delivering a superior level of customer service.
• Shows accountability and enthusiasm for personal and team outputs.
• Is proactively engaged with team and business activities.
• Has excellent verbal communication/telephone skills including the ability to listen effectively.
