Structure Inspector

Qualifications / Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree (Civil Engineer)

2. Familiar with specifications (e.g, DPWH, AASTO, ASTM, JIS)

3. Knows how to read and interpret plans and drawing.

4. Knows how to communicate both orally and written.

5. Usual qualification related to railway project, 5 yrs. min.

Task Descriptions

• Inspect contractor's work and activities for conformity to approved plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports and assessments of site activities and observations.
• Conduct visual inspections of concrete, steel and other structural elements of metro railway stations, tunnels, bridges, and elevated structures.
• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using techniques such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and radiographic testing to identify hidden defects.
• Assess the conditioning of existing structures, identify signs of distress or deterioration, and evaluate their remaining service life.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for repair or maintenance.
• Review design drawings and specification to ensure compliance during construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and maintenance personnel to address structural issues and implement corrective actions.
• Stay up to date on industry standards, codes, and best practices for structural inspection and assessment.
• Conduct inspections of substructure and building structures.
• Witness Field Density Tests of structural filling materials.
• Monitor concrete casting of substructures and bored piles.
• Conduct rebar inspections of segmental box girders, sound protection walls, pier columns and pile caps.
• Assist Quality Engineers in resolving quality-related issues as required.
• Perform other task as assigned onsite.
