QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must be a graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Must be a Licensed Nurse
  • Preferably with one to four years of experience as an Infection Control Nurse or equivalent
  • Must have at least 6 months of bedside nursing experience
  • Must be amenable with non-bedside nursing functions

JOB SUMMARY

  • To assist in the monitoring & implementation of all Infection Control Programs / Standards & Policies hospital wide
  • To play a major role of day to day surveillance hospital wide
  • Monitor and track infection rates, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) within the healthcare facility, identifying trends and potential outbreaks
  • Develop and update educational materials on infection prevention for various healthcare staff
  • Act as a resource for clinical staff on infection control matters, providing guidance on proper procedures and best practices
  • Ensure the facility is compliant with infection control standards and guidelines set by national and local health authorities (e.g., CDC, WHO)
