About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take long-term ownership of our managed services customer portal. This platform integrates a REST API with a Vue 2 dashboard, tightly connected to Azure AD, Prisma/MySQL, and third-party tooling for ticketing, billing, and reporting.

As the technical lead for this portal, you will be responsible for keeping the stack healthy, secure, and evolving in line with customer needs. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives on owning mature codebases and shaping them into dependable, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Maintain and evolve our + Prisma API (dependencies, schema, performance).
  • Modernise and sustain the Vue 2 (Vite-powered) front end, ensuring a consistent and reliable user experience.
  • Safeguard integrations with Azure AD (MSAL), file uploads, and session management while applying strong authentication and security practices.
  • Operate the delivery toolchain (Docker, npm/pnpm/yarn scripts, linting, testing) and ensure CI/CD workflows remain reliable.
  • Monitor application health, build automated regression coverage (Vitest/Jest), and produce operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to scope, deliver, and roll out new enhancements and database migrations in MySQL.
Skills and experience
  • 5+ years with back ends (TypeScript, Express, Vitest/Jest).
  • 4+ years with Vue (Vue 2 ecosystem, Vite, Vue Router, Pinia, BootstrapVue/Element UI).
  • 3+ years working with relational databases, ideally MySQL, and Prisma ORM.
  • Strong experience with authentication/authorisation flows (Azure AD/MSAL, Passport) and session/cookie security.
  • Familiar with modern JavaScript tooling (ESLint, Husky, commitlint, npm/pnpm/yarn).
  • Skilled with Docker and containerised deployment pipelines.
Nice to have
  • Experience with data visualisation , D3, DataMaps).
  • Knowledge of SaaS billing/integration (Atera, Veeam, Azure cost reporting).
  • Experience with high-volume REST API performance tuning and caching.
  • Exposure to customer support or managed service environments.
What success looks like (6–12 months)
  • Dependencies and schemas fully audited, updated, and documented.
  • UI improvements delivered, keeping the dashboard performant and accessible.
  • Authentication flows hardened with Azure AD, session policies, and JWT best practices.
  • A stable release cadence established, supported by automated testing and Docker deployments.
