Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, QA Automation Engineer

In this role, you will collaborate closely with development and quality assurance teams to automate and enhance current processes, supporting DevOps and functional testing for each sprint. Your proactive approach in identifying and addressing issues in a time-sensitive project environment will be crucial to delivering high-quality automation and functional tests.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the development team to design, implement, and validate Risk Management solutions within the Equity Derivatives and Trading platform, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Test functional changes for each sprint, including both manual and automated testing, with a focus on expanding automation coverage and improving regression test reliability.
• Work on continuous integration framework for the automation suite, ensure compatibility with cloud-based infrastructure.
• Follow test plan / schedule for building the test automation scripts, execution of these scripts and reporting of test results on daily basis.
• Thoroughly and clearly document all test scripts, review with test manager and team.
• Advocate for best practices in test automation, code quality, and risk mitigation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in software application testing, including web and mobile platforms.
• Ability to perform both manual and automated testing based on project requirements.
• Proven experience in test automation using tools like Robot Framework, JMeter, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for data validation and back-end testing, along with Unix shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java, for test script development and automation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to navigate vague specifications and requirements, engaging stakeholders to clarify expectations.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented individual.
• Fast learner and critical thinker who can work under time pressure.
• Demonstrable track record of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Experience in the investment banking domain.
• Familiarity with cloud systems.
