Ancillary Director

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead operations for all Hospital Ancillary units.
- Develop and share a vision for Ancillary services, collaborating with team members to implement strategies.
- Focus on patient-centered care.
- Work with Business Development to plan and evaluate new services, ensuring resource availability.
- Drive improvements in efficiency, patient safety, and customer service.
- Stay updated on trends and legal requirements.
- Monitor and manage the annual budget and performance, implementing improvements as needed.
- Participate in committees and work groups.
- Follow hospital standards and core values.
- Resolve escalated operational issues and client concerns.
- Encourage creative problem-solving and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with laws and health standards.
Key Result Areas:
- Achieve customer satisfaction, revenue targets, and ensure patient safety and compliance.
- Manage budgets and operational efficiency.
- Lead projects for new services and process improvements.
- Contribute to strategic decisions.
- Ensure quality and effectiveness of services
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6 years in healthcare, with at least 3 years in management.
- Skills: Knowledge of healthcare environment, ancillary services, business development, and technology use. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Advanced working knowledge of the current healthcare environment. Working knowledge of ancillary department operations and services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Business development skills, to include ability to research, develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive business plans and models. Risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Ability to cultivate effective partnerships and work in collaboration with providers, other health care professionals, caregivers, patients and community members.
- Proficient in the use of current technology. Ability to learn and effectively use electronic records and other systems and equipment for business and operational efficiency.
- Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify and employ communication strategies appropriate to the audience.
- Ability to work independently performing a wide variety of assignments
