Your Role:
The Software Engineer is an integral member of our engineering team, helping produce a quality product. Such a self-motivated individual uses their skills to adapt and answer emergent needs of the product, building and constantly solving problems in an efficient and collaborative way. Due to the nature of the intended market and the impact of the product on lives, keen attention to detail is required.
The following are the primary responsibilities for this position:

• Contribute in all aspects of development to create a software medical device in a regulated environment. This includes creating software requirements, specifications, development of algorithms, bug fixing, planning, documentation, validation, verification and continuous integration testing.

• Identify and solve problems both independently and as a team.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices for software development.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate effectively on a single codebase to create a robust and effective product by following best practices and established standards.

What You Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

• At least 2 years of experience developing software in an industry / corporate role where key aspects of software engineering were implemented to successfully bring a software product to market.

• Strong backend development programming skills required

• Previous experience in API development and integration required.

• QA/automated testing through unit/integration testing experience required.

• Proficiency in software life cycle, coding standards, source control management, documentation, testing and continuous integration.

• Strong proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and frameworks (e.g., ).

• Experience in backend development and API development (e.g., REST, GraphQL).

• Proficiency with modern software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Atlassian).

• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. medical device developed in an FDA compliant way)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Web development

• Must be amenable to a night shift schedule

The Software Engineer will join a small development team which provides the opportunity for significant impact and contribution to the platform at this stage of the company. The SW Engineer will work on a wide range of tasks including backend integrations with 3rd party APIs, database architecture and management, and front-end visualizations of cognitive, wearable, biomarker, and other patient data. The SW Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate new ideas and feedback into well-defined features to improve the platform. This role is responsible for taking these features from concept to completion, ensuring their effective implementation, testing, and integration into the platform.
