Malabon, Philippines Universal Canning, Inc. Full time ₱250,000 - ₱500,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record all business transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, etc.) in the accounting system.
  • Organize financial data into meaningful categories (assets, liabilities, income, expenses.

Prepare key reports such as:

  • Income Statement (Profit & Loss Account)
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow Statement
  • Accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
  • Tax laws and government regulations
  • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Process employee payroll accurately and timely.
  • Handle vendor payments and customer receipts efficiently.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights for management decisions.
  • Support planning, cost control, and investment evaluation.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial activities.
  • Ensure data is stored securely for future reference and audits.
  • Present financial reports to management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Communicate financial implications of business decisions clearly.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience in the same field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Courses studied often include financial accounting, cost accounting, auditing, taxation, and management accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.)
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or Excel.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
  • Understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Data analysis and financial reporting skills.
