Job Overview

The BIM Modeler is a member of the production team that will create a majority of the drawings for a project. The role will be to work closely with the BIM Job Captains and BIM Manager to create drawings that are of the highest level of detail and accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the BIM Manager and BIM Job Captains.
  • Supervise tasks and schedules of BIM Modelers.
  • Assist in creating and revising BIM models based on AEC drawings and model reviews.
  • Ensure accuracy of models and compliance with BIM standards, execution plans, and project workflow criteria.
  • Perform model reviews and collaborate with BIM Modelers for necessary edits and corrections.
  • Produce accurate construction documents from BIM models.
  • Create custom parametric families with shared parameters based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Review and resolve minor BIM clashes (MEPF hierarchy) and assist in formal reporting of major clashes and design issues.
  • Formalize BIM clash and design issue reports.
  • Implement and assist in enforcing the use of correct shared coordinates in all projects.
  • Monitor scheduled submissions, task delegations, and actual team progress.
  • Assist in creating and/or editing project templates to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Assist in maintaining document structuring and documenting updates on project standards and instructions.
  • Support in drafting project timelines for the team.
  • Assist in upskilling BIM Modelers and BIM Job Captains.
  • Contribute to the development of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Architecture or any Engineering Course.
  • PRC license is a plus but not required.
  • At least 3 years work experience in BIM with 5 years total work experience using Revit.
  • Skilled in use of AutoCAD and Revit, and other BIM software.
  • Knowledgeable in plan reading of at least 3 AEC disciplines.
