The Cloud Support Engineer is an essential member of our Managed Services team, dedicated to keeping our advanced cloud infrastructure running smoothly and securely.

You'll proactively manage the performance and health of the client's own Cloud platform, playing a crucial role in troubleshooting issues, automating critical and recurring tasks, and optimizing system reliability.

Collaborating closely with both internal teams and clients, you'll help drive continuous improvements, innovate system maintenance practices, and ensure our cloud environment remains robust, scalable, and highly available.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

• Monitoring and Incident Management

• Proactively monitor the client's Cloud platform dashboards and alerts to identify and resolve infrastructure issues promptly.

• Ensure system health, including virtual machines, servers, and storage solutions, maintaining high availability and performance standards.

• Infrastructure Maintenance and Optimization

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and upgrades of cloud systems and components.

• Regularly assess and optimize cloud infrastructure resources, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability.

• Automation and Process Improvement

• Develop and implement automation scripts and solutions to streamline operational tasks, reduce manual interventions, and enhance service delivery effectiveness.

• Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage cloud resources, resolve technical issues, and ensure continuous improvement.

• Communicate proactively, providing clear updates, documentation, and actionable recommendations.

• Security and Compliance

• Ensure that all cloud infrastructure adheres to industry best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.

• Regularly review and manage security configurations, certificates, and firewall rules.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, troubleshooting methods, and knowledge base articles, enabling effective knowledge transfer and team collaboration.

• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

• Participate in regular disaster recovery tests, validate backup and restoration processes, and support the continuous improvement of business continuity planning to minimize downtime and service disruption

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux+, RHCSA,LPIC 1, 2 or 3) is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in networking concepts, including subnetting, VPN setup and troubleshooting, firewall rules, and general network security.
• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL)
• Awareness of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Competence in scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, particularly incident, problem, and change management.
