Responsible for the structure and layout of elements and/or illustrations in printed media, such as textbooks and teacher's manuals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Creates designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
  • Determines size and arrangement of illustrative materials and selects style and size of type
  • Develops and creates ideas and original artwork to visually interpret concepts, text, or stories for textbooks
  • Uses computer software to generate new images
  • Reviews final layouts and suggests improvements as needed
  • Confers with the Book Development Manager, editors, authors, and/or coordinators, and illustrators to discuss and determine layout design
  • Develops graphics and layouts for manuscript illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • With average to extremely proficient skill in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop software
  • Preferably with experience with lay outing textbooks ensuring that all page elements are balanced and readable
  • Preferably with experience with illustrating images for textbooks
  • With good work ethics
  • Possesses good typographical skills, image and text editing skills, and communication skills
  • Willing to render overtime
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php22,000.00 per month
