RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, deductions, and electronic distribution of payslips to employees
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll and promptly resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and process government-mandated contributions such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other statutory requirements
  • Handle final pay computation and prepare Certificates of Employment (COE) with compensation details
  • Assist in year-end activities, including the preparation and submission of BIR Forms 2316
  • Monitor and manage all employee deductions to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Upload payroll account applications through online banking platforms
  • Generate payroll-related reports, including PEZA, PSA, and other required documentation
  • Provide support for month-end closing tasks and reporting
  • Actively participate in team initiatives and contribute to the implementation of programs aimed at process improvement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support payroll operations and team objectives

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Business Administration, or any related field
  • With at least 2 to 5 years of experience as an Accounting Staff/ Payroll Specialist
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Office 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Forms)
  • Strong understanding of Philippines labor laws and payroll regulations
  • Hands-on experience with any Payroll software or ERP systems is an advantage
  • Solid grasp of finance, accounting and bookkeeping fundamentals
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to deal with individuals across various levels of the organization
  • Highly analytical and with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • A collaborative team-player, with a strong commitment to deadlines
  • Willing to learn the Japanese language for better communication with expats/counterparts
  • Must be willing to work on-site (Ortigas Center, Pasig City)
