The Automation QA Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium and/or Playwright.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Perform regression, functional, and API automation testing.
  • Identify test cases for automation and ensure maximum test coverage.
  • Analyze test results, document defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain testing frameworks, reusable scripts, and data-driven tests.
  • Conduct performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner (if applicable).
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to establish best practices and improve test processes.
  • Prepare test documentation, reports, and maintain automation metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in test automation (5+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
