Warehouse Owner

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Owner oversees all warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished products. This role ensures inventory accuracy, process efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards within the manufacturing environment. The Warehouse Owner is accountable for optimizing space utilization, coordinating logistics, and maintaining smooth production support through timely material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Operations Management
• Oversee daily inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely movement of materials and finished goods.
• Maintain proper storage systems and implement FIFO/FEFO principles.
• Monitor warehouse layout and ensure optimal utilization of storage space.
• Inventory and Materials Control
• Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Coordinate with the production and planning team to ensure material availability.
• Implement and monitor ERP/SAP systems for stock movement and traceability.
• Personnel and Process Management
• Supervise warehouse staff, including pickers, loaders, and forklift operators.
• Set performance targets and conduct regular team evaluations.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities.
• Safety and Compliance
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and government regulations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse conditions.
• Lead safety drills and ensure staff are trained in material handling procedures.
• Coordination and Reporting
• Coordinate with logistics, production, purchasing, and quality departments.
• Generate regular reports on inventory status, space utilization, and KPIs.
• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of inventory systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP tools)
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
• Knowledge of ISO standards, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles is an advantage
