The Planner Owner is responsible for overall management of production planning and technical standardization functions within the manufacturing plant. The role ensures that production schedules, material readiness, and process standards are effectively aligned with business goals and operational requirements.

This position provides leadership, coordination, and oversight over planning accuracy, production efficiency, and compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards. The Planner Owner ensures seamless integration between planning and execution — bridging communication among Production, Warehouse, Procurement, and Quality teams to achieve on-time and cost-efficient operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Production Planning Management Oversee all planning activities handled by the Production Planning Lead, ensuring effective scheduling and resource allocation.

· Approve and monitor Master Production Schedules (MPS) and ensure alignment with demand forecasts and customer requirements.

· Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to ensure material and manpower readiness for planned schedules.

· Review production performance against plan, identify variances, and drive corrective actions to improve schedule adherence.

· Analyze capacity utilization, production loads, and equipment availability to prevent bottlenecks and optimize throughput.

· Technical Standards and Process Compliance Supervise the Technical Standards Lead in developing and implementing technical procedures, SOPs, and operational standards.

· Ensure all processes comply with quality, engineering, and safety standards (ISO, GMP, internal policies).

· Review and approve new process validations, document updates, and technical revisions.

· Ensure consistency and traceability of all technical documentation and coordinate audits or compliance checks.

· Coordination and Collaboration Serve as the central link between Planning, Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality departments.

· Lead planning meetings to align production schedules, material readiness, and standard requirements.

· Coordinate planning and standardization efforts for new product introductions, trials, and process improvements.

· Support the Manager in translating business objectives into operational plans for the Planning and Technical Standards teams.

· Performance Monitoring and Reporting Track and analyze KPIs such as production schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and technical compliance rate.

· Ensure timely generation of planning and production reports for management decision-making.

· Evaluate planning system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MRP) performance and ensure data accuracy and proper system usage. Initiate and implement improvement projects to enhance planning efficiency and data integrity.

· Leadership and People Development Supervise and coach the Production Planning Lead and Technical Standards Lead, providing clear direction and performance feedback.

· Set departmental goals and monitor progress against targets.

· Encourage continuous learning and technical skill development among planning staff.

· Foster collaboration, accountability, and a results-oriented culture within the planning function.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

· At least 5 years of experience in production planning or technical standards management within a manufacturing environment.

· Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing planning or process control functions.

· Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred) and production scheduling concepts.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data reporting tools.

· Excellent leadership, analytical, and coordination skills.

· Knowledgeable in ISO, GMP, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement methodologies.

Preferred or Desired Skills

· Certification in APICS CPIM, Lean Six Sigma, or related disciplines is an advantage.

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Proven ability to lead process improvement and cost-reduction projects.

· Experience in handling multi-department coordination for large-scale manufacturing operations.

Working conditions

  • Primarily office-based but requires presence on the production floor for coordination and validation activities.
  • May require extended hours during production planning cycles or audits.
  • Limited travel to other sites or suppliers as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From Php16,000.00 per month
