Head of Legal, Compliance & Government Affairs

GoRocky is seeking a senior lawyer to lead its legal, compliance, and government affairs functions. This role will serve as the company's in-house counsel, compliance head, and main liaison to government regulators and law firms. The candidate will handle both strategic legal work (contracts, governance, regulatory advocacy) and operational issues (FDA/DOH notices, labor disputes, data privacy matters).

This is a senior leadership role with a clear growth path toward a C-level position (Chief Legal Officer / Chief Compliance Officer) as the company scales.

Arrangement:
Full-Time - Mon-Fri; Hybrid- Makati

What You'll Do:

  • Government & Regulatory Affairs
  • Build and manage relationships with FDA, DOH, PRC, SEC, NPC, and related agencies.
  • Represent GoRocky in hearings, consultations, and industry associations.
  • Secure and maintain regulatory approvals, licenses, and permits.
  • Legal Counsel & External Liaison
  • Act as in-house legal counsel, advising management and Board on legal and corporate governance matters.
  • Draft/review key contracts, shareholder agreements, and investor documents.
  • Serve as the main liaison with external law firms, coordinating advice and controlling costs.
  • Internal Legal Handling
  • Address day-to-day legal issues such as:
  • FDA/DOH notices and inspections
  • Labor issues, including notice-to-explains and disputes
  • Contract enforcement, supplier/customer disputes
  • Data privacy and compliance incidents
  • Provide business-oriented legal advice to leadership and department heads.
  • Compliance Leadership
  • Lead the compliance department and strengthen SOPs across:
  • Prescription issuance and audit trail
  • Compounding, device, and retail compliance
  • Advertising/marketing claims
  • Pharmacovigilance systems
  • Data privacy & security protocols
  • Conduct internal audits and compliance training.

What We're Looking For:

  • Philippine Bar-admitted lawyer (mandatory).
  • 8–12+ years' experience in healthcare, life sciences, tech, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong regulatory network (FDA, DOH, SEC, PRC, NPC).
  • Demonstrated track record in government affairs + in-house counsel roles.
  • Experience managing external law firms and leading compliance/legal teams.
  • Skilled at balancing strategic and operational legal work.

Reporting Line:

  • Reports to the CEO.
  • Works closely with COO, Medical Director, Compliance, and HR.
  • Advises Board on legal and compliance matters.
