Part Time Engineering Administration – Energy Compliance

A growing energy-efficiency consultancy is looking for Administration Support with a strong eye for detail and a background suited to interpreting technical information—ideally someone with an engineering foundation or experience working with building plans.

This role supports day-to-day operations, with a key focus on quoting. Training will be provided to help you understand which energy assessment method applies to each project and how to determine if plans contain sufficient detail for assessment.

What you'll handle day to day:

• Preparing quotes and identifying the correct energy assessment approach based on project plans

• Reviewing plans and emails to confirm information is sufficient before progressing work for the clients

• Entering new jobs into the workflow queue and updating project details

• Knowing when to submit jobs through the AI portal (Magic Energy Box)

• Checking completed jobs for accuracy (with training)

• Invoicing, reconciling daily transactions, and following up on overdue accounts

• Responding to client queries via email and, when needed, by phone

• Conducting research to support business improvements

What helps you succeed in this role:

• Ability to read and interpret building plans

• Background in engineering, energy compliance, or related technical support

• Understanding of energy efficiency or interest in thermal performance and reducing carbon impacts

• Comfortable working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Experience with Xero or other accounting platforms

• Strong consistency and reliability

• Ability to work autonomously and solve problems with minimal supervision
