Responsible for the transport of goods and/or services in a safe and timely manner, and in adherence with the company's policies and procedures, operating standards, and Good Warehousing and Distribution Practices (GWDP).

Job Description:

Transport Company Staff, Goods, and Raw Materials

  • Safely transport company staff, products, and materials to and from specified locations on time
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of products and raw materials with care
  • Receive dispatch, review orders for completeness, and verify delivery documents
  • Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
  • Follow customers' delivery specifications and instructions
  • Escalate unforeseen transit delays to the immediate superior and sales agents
  • Provide frontline customer service and escalate concerns appropriately

Trip Preparation and Safe Navigation

  • Perform pre-departure vehicle inspection (B.L.O.W.B.A.G.E.T.S.)
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are complete and updated (driver's license, vehicle registration, permits)
  • Adhere to traffic rules and safety regulations at all times
  • Follow parking, docking/undocking, loading/unloading, and receiving protocols at customer premises
  • Determine the best and safest alternative routes, considering traffic congestion, and provide suggestions
  • Be courteous to authorities during checkpoint inspections and mindful of motorist rights
  • Report accidents and vehicle damage to the immediate superior immediately

Other Functions

  • Support Warehouse or Cold Storage Associate with delivery documentation, remittances, discrepancy reports (DDR), returns (RTV), and COD payments
  • Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of the vehicle.
  • Follow regular preventive maintenance schedules in coordination with the Fleet Maintenance Department
  • Conduct minor checks and repairs; escalate concerns for Fleet Maintenance support
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform messengerial and other related tasks as delegated

Job Specifications:

Education:

  • High School Graduate

Experience:

  • At least 6 months of experience driving company vehicles
  • Experience in driving company vehicles and forklifts is a must

License/Certification:

  • Professional Driver's License (1, 2, 3)
  • Certificate for Forklift Operation (a plus)

Working Arrangement:

  • Assigned at Head Office
  • Field-based position
  • Travel Frequency: Daily
  • 8-hour shift (not on-call)
  • Overtime or work on rest days/holidays may be required with advance notice
