Job Summary:

Responsible for leading and managing all sanitation operations to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. This includes overseeing cleaning protocols, sanitation schedules, staff training, and compliance with food safety, health, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily sanitation operations and ensure proper implementation of cleaning and disinfection procedures.
  • Develop and maintain sanitation programs, procedures, and schedules aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and personnel hygiene to identify risks or non-compliance.
  • Oversee sanitation team performance, including scheduling, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Coordinate with QA, Production, and Maintenance teams to support smooth plant operations.
  • Ensure the correct use and storage of cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
  • Investigate and respond to sanitation-related issues, complaints, or audit findings.
  • Prepare and maintain sanitation records, reports, and documentation for compliance and traceability.
  • Lead pest control monitoring and third-party sanitation services if applicable.
  • Promote a culture of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferably with at least 3–5 years of experience in sanitation, hygiene, or food safety roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledgeable in GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards; certification is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Willing to work in shifts and in a production/plant environment.
