Job Summary

The Senior Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall financial health, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial planning. The role provides strategic guidance to management, manages budgeting and forecasting, and ensures strong internal controls. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the role ensures the company adheres to statutory and regulatory requirements while supporting long-term financial growth.


Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Strategy
  • Lead the development of financial strategies to support business goals and long-term growth.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
Accounting & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., PFRS/IFRS).
  • Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage consolidation and reporting of financial results.
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Oversee external and internal audits and ensure audit readiness.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
  • Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity requirements.
  • Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment strategies.
  • Optimize capital structure and support financing initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial management practices.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen.
