WORK SCOPE: Oversees the daily operations of finance and accounting and assists the F&A Manager in attain the both short and long-term objectives of the company. Monitor and takes care of the financial health of both companies and works closely with the F&A Manager to develop and implement sound strategies and plans. Establishes the policies and processes under the Finance and Accounting department

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Works with the F&A Manager to provide financial reports and interprets financial information to management with recommended course of action

  • Establish policies, processes, and protocols for the Finance and Accounting department

  • Oversees the financial health of the company by managing the OPEX and CAPEX of the company

  • Analyze expenses and income of the company and compares with the proposed budget and business plans at the start of the year

  • Develop trends and projections in relation to the company's finances

  • Develop strategies that will help the company to minimize financial risks

  • Reviews and gives recommendations for cost-reduction opportunities

  • Oversees the operations of the finance and accounting department and ensures that other department complies to the created standards

  • Works with the F&A Manager in managing the company's budget and targets

  • Manages the payroll of 3 companies (less than 50 employees)

  • Works with F&A Manager to conduct thorough testing of new system or product services of the company

  • Ensures both companies are complaint to government regulations

  • Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of finance and compliance to government policies

  • Accomplishes the probationary and regular evaluation of all F&A employees and submits it to the HR

  • Coaches and manages the productivity and performance of the F&A department

  • Communicates all Management directives and department goals to team members

  • Serve as the primary Finance & Accounting point of contact for external clients, ensuring effective communication, relationship management, and delivery of financial insights aligned with client expectations.

2. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to: F&A Head

  • Handles: F&A Supervisor and Purchasing & Admin Supervisor

3. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of accountancy or equivalent

  • 5 years of F&A work experience with exposure to different F&A facets

  • Proven experience in a client-facing Finance & Accounting role, with the ability to engage external stakeholders and manage professional relationships effectively.

  • 3 years experience in Management Accounting

  • 3 years' experience in F&A process improvements and people management

  • Experience working for a startup company with creating polices and processes is a must

  • Adept in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Powerpoint

  • Fluent level of proficiency in both English and Tagalog oral and written communication
