About the role
Are you passionate about creating safer, more sustainable workplaces? As a Specialist - SHES, you'll play a key role in shaping Orica's safety, health, environment, and security (SHES) culture. You'll work closely with senior leaders to drive excellence through strong leadership, proactive risk management, and hands-on coaching in systems, standards, and governance.
This role supports our Mining Services and Supply Chain teams across the Philippines, offering a unique opportunity to influence operational safety at a national level. If you're a strategic thinker with a heart for safety and a drive to make a real impact, we'd love to have you on our team.
This role is based in our Pasig office.
What you will be doing
- Champion Orica's Charter Values, Purpose, and Strategy in all actions.
- Support the SHES Manager in delivering the national SHES plan and objectives.
- Build strong relationships with line leaders and provide expert SHES guidance.
- Coach and mentor leaders on SHES systems, standards, and risk management practices.
- Help implement the Asia SHES Plan in alignment with Group SHES direction.
- Conduct assurance activities and identify improvement opportunities for consistent rollout.
- Assist with regulatory and customer SHES requirements, ensuring compliance and proactive engagement.
What you will bring
- Solid experience in SHES or operations within mining, resources, or heavy industry, with knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record in delivering results through initiatives and projects, with effective written and verbal communication.
- Trusted advisor with integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset, open to feedback and growth.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to coach, support, and drive safety excellence across all levels of the organization.
