Job Summary:

The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and general building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and functional workplace environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Perform routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address potential hazards or areas needing repair.
  • Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests or reported issues from different departments.
  • Assist in the setup, relocation, or installation of office furniture, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Support contractors and service providers during outsourced repairs or construction works.
  • Monitor and maintain utilities such as water, electricity, and air supply systems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records of equipment and facility systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and company standards.
  • Support emergency response actions (e.g., fire alarm, power failure, or water leak).
  • Assist in general housekeeping or cleanliness of mechanical rooms, utility areas, and outdoor spaces.

Qualifications:

  • Vocational or Technical Certification (e.g., NCII) in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in facilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks.
  • Basic knowledge in electrical systems, plumbing, air conditioning, carpentry, and general repair work.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling tools, lifting, or climbing ladders when needed
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call duties as needed.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
