Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our team, providing expert support and guidance in the design, configuration, installation, deployment, and administration of VMware environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with VMware products and a strong understanding of virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement VMware solutions tailored to meet client needs, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere, vCenter, and other related products.
  • Monitor system performance proactively, identifying and resolving issues to maintain service excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with client teams to provide technical expertise and support for ongoing operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to the VMware infrastructure and configurations.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring business continuity strategies are in place.
  • Plan and execute upgrades and patches for VMware products in accordance with best practices.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff to enhance their understanding of VMware technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with VMware technologies in a similar role.
  • VMware certification (VCP or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts, including storage and networking within VMware environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
