  • Site Preparation: They are responsible for preparing the construction site, including surveying and marking boundaries, ensuring the site is level and ready for construction activities.
  • Coordination: Site engineers coordinate with architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Control: They monitor construction progress to ensure that work is being carried out according to specifications and quality standards. This involves conducting inspections and tests as necessary.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on the construction site is a critical responsibility. Site engineers enforce safety protocols and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Material Management: Site engineers manage the procurement, delivery, and storage of construction materials, ensuring that the necessary materials are available when needed.
  • Progress Reporting: They provide regular progress reports to project managers and other stakeholders, including updates on milestones, challenges, and any deviations from the project plan.
  • Problem-Solving: Site engineers troubleshoot issues that arise during construction, such as design discrepancies, material shortages, or unexpected site conditions, and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records and documentation is essential.
  • Team Supervision: They may oversee and direct construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Cost Control: Site engineers monitor project costs and take steps to control expenses within the budgetary constraints set for the project.
  • Client Communication: They communicate regularly with clients or project owners, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring that client requirements are met.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and minimizing the environmental impact of construction activities is another important responsibility.
  • Post-Construction Activities: Site engineers may also be involved in post-construction activities, such as conducting final inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor related to above roles.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineer
  • With or without Licensed Civil Engineer
  • Preferably with COSH Certification
  • With or without experience
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Great mathematical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to relocate.
