Job Title: Site Civil Engineer

Department: Engineering / Construction

Reports To: Project Engineer

Work Location: Project Site (SRQC, Rizal, Sucat, Laguna)

Job Summary:

The Site Civil Engineer is responsible for assisting in the supervision, coordination, and execution of all civil works at the project site, including architectural and structural activities for housing projects. The role ensures that construction is carried out according to approved plans, specifications, schedules, and quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Supervision and Coordination

  • Monitor and supervise civil and structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate daily with architects, subcontractors, foremen, and laborers to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure that all site activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to the project schedule.

2. Quality Control and Compliance

  • Check materials and workmanship to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assist in testing materials and structures.
  • Ensure all works comply with local building codes, safety policies, and environmental standards.

3. Project Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, manpower logs, and work accomplishment summaries.
  • Maintain proper documentation of materials delivery, usage, and inspection reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built plans and other project turnover documents.

4. Technical and Administrative Support

  • Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs, estimates, and progress billings.
  • Provide technical support and resolve on-site engineering issues in coordination with the Project Engineer.
  • Attend coordination meetings and provide updates on site conditions and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience in civil works for architectural, structural, or housing projects.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledgeable in construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
  • Able to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, Project), and basic quantity estimation.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willing to be assigned on-site and work extended hours when necessary.
