QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the operation of Shearing Machine is required.
  • Valid NCII Certificate.
  • Able to read drawings and know how to use measuring tools (measuring tape, Vernier caliper, Micrometer etc.
  • Experience in steel fabrication environment.
  • Knowledge with various Metal Grades and Specifications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team Player and ability to solve problems.
  • High School Diploma or Trade School Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets-up and operates Hydraulic Shearing machine in cutting steel plates and sheets to required dimensions, angle and grades.
  • Adjusts the required settings like thickness, back gauge, cutting length and other parameters.
  • Operates overhead crane or manually lift work piece to machine table and positions it against side guide and end stops.
  • Inspects work piece using tape, protractor, gauge, template, or micrometer to verify dimensions.
  • Performs regular and preventive maintenance on the machines, making sure the machine good conditions at all times.
  • Performs regular Good House Keeping (GHK) Duties on his area.
  • Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
