Data Architect

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a
Data Architect (Technical, Solutions)
to design and lead the implementation of our enterprise-wide data platforms and integration frameworks. In this role, you will define how data flows across our systems, ensuring interoperability between tools and enabling a scalable, secure, and modern data platform.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Platform Architecture

• Define and evolve
  the enterprise data platform architecture, including data lakehouses, data meshes, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Architect
  core data components, from ingestion and processing to storage and APIs.
• Ensure
  our data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Confluent, Atlan) are fully integrated, functioning as a unified ecosystem.
• Establish
  standards for scalability, resilience, and cost optimization in all platform designs.

Integration & Interoperability

• Design
  frameworks for connecting data across internal and external systems (e.g., ERP, POS, e-commerce, CRM, MarTech).
• Define
  patterns for batch, streaming, and API-driven integrations, ensuring consistency across brands and regions.
• Collaborate
  with application architects to ensure seamless cross-platform data exchange and orchestration.
• Drive
  the adoption of real-time event streaming for customer engagement and operational use cases.

Governance & Security

• Embed
  data security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., encryption, tokenization, access control) into all integrations.
• Partner
  with governance teams to enforce metadata management, data lineage, and auditability at the integration layer.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely
  with data engineers, cloud engineers, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance
  on solution design, vendor onboarding, and platform scaling initiatives.
• Act
  as the subject matter expert on integration technologies, including Confluent, API gateways, and orchestration tools.
• Mentor
  teams on best practices for platform usage, API management, and event-driven architectures.

Innovation & Optimization

• Continuously assess
  emerging integration tools and cloud-native services to determine their value.
• Lead
  platform modernization initiatives to support AI/ML readiness, real-time personalization, and advanced analytics.
• Optimize
  compute and storage costs by recommending the right architectural patterns and workload placements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, solutions architecture, or platform integration.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS) and data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka/Confluent, Delta Lake).
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns (ETL/ELT, CDC, APIs, streaming).
• Experience with data orchestration frameworks like Dagster, Airflow, or dbt.
• Proven experience designing secure and compliant architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-brand, multi-region platform rollouts.
• Familiarity with metadata management tools (Atlan, Collibra, Purview).
• Knowledge of event-driven design patterns and microservices integration.
• Background in QSR, retail, or financial services is a plus.
