SUMMARY

Our client is one of the largest global private equity firms, with more than Euro 90 billion in assets under their management across 20 offices worldwide. They are currently looking to bring onboard an experienced Senior Azure Engineer for their growing team in Philippines.

As Senior Azure Engineer, you will focus on ensuring that company's Azure Cloud infrastructure is robust, secure and scalable, enabling our organization to leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies for optimal performance and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineer:

  • Design, manage and maintain Azure cloud platform
  • Architect and implement scalable, secure and highly available solutions
  • Manage and monitor Azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency
  • Automate deployments and configuration management
  • Ensure data protection and compliance with relevant laws and regulations through Azure security features
  • Active optimization and further development of our Azure environment
  • Overseeing day-to-day Azure cloud operations
  • Lead, participate and support the transition of on-premise or multi-cloud infrastructure to Azure cloud services

Automate:

  • Design and build automation capabilities to streamline infrastructure management and deployment processes, mainly based on PowerShell and Service-Now.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Implement automated monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues

Support & Collaborate

  • Provide second and third level support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
  • Work closely and collaborate with other IT and cross-functional teams, including DevOps, network, security and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of Azure components and solutions
  • Join and support our SCRUM based agile framework

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Systems and/or Computer Science or related quantitative field
  • Demonstrated experience as an Azure Engineer, preferably in the financial industry and international setting (7+ years experience in a similar role)
  • Experience in system architectural design
  • Solid knowledge of networking and security concepts
  • Solid knowledge of FinOps concepts and practices
  • Solid understanding and practical experience of ITSM/ITIL
  • Solid knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code practice and CI/CD platforms (Terraform, Gitlab)
  • Solid knowledge of Entra ID and its authentication protocols (SAML, oAuth 2.0, OIDC)
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server OS
  • Strong knowledge of Docker environments
  • Strong skills in personal organization, prioritization, project management and complex problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present and sell her/his ideas/projects to senior stakeholders
  • Strong critical thinking skills to understand business pain points and propose effective solutions
  • Relevant Industry certifications would be advantageous (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.)

  • Good know-how and experience working with AWS
  • Experience working within an Agile framework (Kanban)
  • Excellent English (oral and written communication)
