Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
  • Duly Licensed Civil Engineer
  • With 1 to 2 years of structural engineering experience in BRIDGE DESIGN a MUST
  • Ability to plan and design various bridge structures such as prestressed concrete girder, steel plate girder, segmental, arch, and truss bridge structures
  • Ability to perform various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories
  • Possesses detail and good working knowledge of industry standard bridge design and analysis software such as AutoCAD and other PC software packages typically associated with structural engineering such as STAADPro, SPColumn, Knowledge on the use of MIDAS Civil would be a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in all mentioned bridge design software packages including AutoCAD, STAADPro, and SPColumn is required
  • Familiar with the use of design codes such as ASHTO LRFD 2012, DPWH DGCS 2015 and DPWH BSDS 2013
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all three design codes (ASHTO LRFD 2012, DPWH DGCS 2015, and DPWH BSDS 2013) is required
  • Knowledge on the use of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint are a requirement
  • Good communication and writing skills a MUST
  • Valid work visa or appropriate work eligibility is required for this position

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in field inspection and the preparation of inspection reports
  • Work with a team on large-scale design-build projects as well as some smaller local projects, to produce structural design calculations and detailed construction documents
  • Develop engineering computations, drawings, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys, and design
  • Utilize engineering theories and practices, develop the creation of engineering products that meet client's quality requirements
  • Provide support for other engineering activities as required
  • Perform a variety of structural engineering duties
  • Other responsibilities associated with this position

Competencies:

  • Strong Knowledge in design codes and regulations
  • Good communication skills, able to create report presentations, and spreadsheets
