The Engineering Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily plant engineering activities, including supervising, analyzing, recommending, and standardizing the refrigeration system, compressed air system, power system, steam system, and equipment preventive maintenance.

  • Ensures effectiveness and accomplishment of PM tasks according to plan.
  • Recommends changes, revisions, deletions, and adds PM work orders and schedules.
  • Evaluates the daily monitoring activities of the Engineering Technicians.
  • Assists in conducting troubleshooting and initiating system upgrades of plant equipment.
  • Ensures the availability of critical elements needed for smooth plant production as well as the compliance of the plant with all internal and external auditing bodies (structural, waste water, fire protection, environment, health, and safety).
  • Initiates and oversees pre-bid and bid evaluation processes, recommending and coordinating with suppliers and contractors for projects while also evaluating, accepting, and auditing third-party activities.
  • Initiates the purchase of spare parts as well as the control of inventory.
  • Plans and schedule work order activities for direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering Course
  • With at least three (3) years of work experience in a Manufacturing Industry at a similar capacity.
  • Preferably, a Licensed Engineer by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
  • Must have a background in refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilating systems, electrical power, water, steam, compressed air supply systems, and other rotating equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Must have experience with Total Preventive Maintenance
  • Possess strong communication skills and a high level of stress tolerance.
  • Must possess leadership capabilities to lead, introduce, or recommend changes in policies or procedures and introduce new methods or products that would significantly impact one or more functional areas.
  • Willing to be assigned in Danao, Cebu.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php60,000.00 per month
