Location: Danao, Cebu

The Engineering Assistant Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of plant engineering, including supervising, analyzing, recommending improvements, and standardizing systems such as refrigeration, compressed air, power, steam, and equipment preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures preventive maintenance tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
  • Suggests modifications, removals, additions, and updates to PM work orders and timelines.
  • Reviews and evaluates the daily monitoring activities performed by Engineering Technicians.
  • Supports troubleshooting efforts and helps initiate upgrades to plant systems and equipment.
  • Ensures the availability of critical resources required for uninterrupted plant operations and ensures compliance with all internal and external audit requirements (structural, wastewater, fire protection, environmental, health, and safety).
  • Leads and manages pre-bid and bid evaluation activities, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and assessing, approving, and auditing third-party work.
  • Oversees the procurement of spare parts and manages inventory control.
  • Plans and schedules work orders for direct reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in any Engineering field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar role.
  • Preferably licensed as an Engineer.
  • Knowledgeable in refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, electrical power, water, steam, and compressed air systems, as well as other rotating equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Experience with Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Strong communication skills and high stress tolerance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams, recommend policy or procedural changes, and introduce new methods or technologies that significantly affect functional areas.
  • Willing to work in Danao, Cebu.
