ROLE OVERVIEW

The Junior Art Director plays a key role in shaping and executing visual ideas that support project goals. This role supports senior creatives in bringing concepts to life across digital and print platforms, while continuously improving their craft through feedback, collaboration, and learning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in advertising, design, or visual communication
  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating versatility across digital and print platforms
  • Solid understanding of the creative process and ability to deliver on time and within brief
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to creative work that meets client and business goals

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Ideation and Execution

  • Participates in brainstorming sessions, creative pitches, and internal reviews.
  • Assists in developing and refining visual concepts that clearly communicate strategy and messaging.
  • Designs assets across digital (e.g., social media, websites, newsletters) and print (e.g., posters, brochures, banners).
  • Supports visual direction during photo and video shoots under senior supervision.

Collaboration and Team Integration

  • Works closely with Senior Art Director, Senior Copywriter, Associate Creative Director, Creative Director, and account teams to deliver cohesive creative outputs.
  • Responds constructively to feedback and applies revisions efficiently.
  • Ensures alignment with project requirements and timelines.

Skill and Craft Development

  • Continuously builds graphic design, visual storytelling, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Seeks and applies mentorship to enhance design techniques and execution.
  • Keeps up with industry trends and best practices.

Project Support and Management

  • Manages time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Maintains organized project files and ensures adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Demonstrates accountability, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
