ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct routine inspection of equipment and facility systems.
• Monitor/record facilities equipment operating parameters.
• Suggest operations programs on all facility equipment/systems, which include planning, scheduling, preparation of Pre-Task Planning and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Check that all equipment and system are properly started, monitored and shut off.
• Ensure that all equipment-monitoring records are updated and properly kept.
• Attend to/rectify promptly all issues or complaints coming from the customers.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting if needed.
• Recommend solutions to conditions affecting normal equipment operations, as well as improvements and optimizations.
• Suggest a cost saving measures
• Maintain proper housekeeping/5S in his area of responsibility
• Hand-over plant status and issues to the incoming shift technicians.
• Respond to any ERT issues where applicable.
• Identify spare parts/consumable materials for stores stock required for the performance of the work.
• Assist in the identification of plant requirements for shutdown periods.
• Perform necessary maintenance on facility systems.
• Implement the operations procedure and schedules.
• Attends all ESH training/meetings that may be required.
• Reports hazards, unsafe acts or conditions to superior.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of any 2 years Technical Course or NC2, Engineering Technology or any related course.
• Preferably with at least 1 year experience in facilities or building maintenance .
• Basic understanding of electrical , plumbing and carpentry is a plus.
