Founding Tech Lead (AI Powered Wardrobe App)

Hybrid, Manila preferred | Part time transition phase then full time | Progressive and competitive compensation

About our sister company:

Our sister company is developing a a wardrobe inventory app that uses AI to help people understand themselves through how they dress and make decisions. We combine design, data, and technology to build a more mindful relationship with what we own and why we wear it.

Who are we looking for:

We're looking for a Founding Tech Lead to guide our product's technical growth, manage our transition from external development, and build the foundation of our in-house engineering team.

The Found Tech Lead's Role Overview:

You will begin part time for a three-month transition period working closely with our current development partner to understand the codebase and infrastructure. Beginning February 2026, the role becomes full time and you will lead the Company's internal tech team.

What You Will Be Doing

Transition and Coordination (2-3 Months)

  • Review the existing codebase and architecture
  • Coordinate with outsourced developers to ensure full knowledge transfer
  • Conduct a full technical audit covering mobile app, admin panel, APIs, MySQL database, and AI integrations
  • Identify areas for performance improvements and technical risks
  • Develop the internal tech roadmap and propose an ideal team structure
  • Establish best practices for documentation, QA, and version control in preparation for internal operations

Build and Lead (Starting in 2026)

  • Oversee and review development cycles across iOS, Android, and the admin web dashboard
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor engineers for the Company's in-house tech team
  • Maintain and evolve product features including AI tagging, upload systems, analytics, and data insights
  • Ensure system reliability, data privacy, and scalability as the product grows
  • Drive technical planning, documentation, sprint management, and best practices

Requirements

  • 5 years+ experience in software development
  • Experience in Flutter, , and MySQL
  • Strong ability to lead and scale a tech team
  • Experience working with APIs and cloud infrastructure
  • Comfortable working with AI or machine learning tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with founders and designers
  • Bonus points if you have an interest in fashion tech, lifestyle, personal organisation, or consumer apps.
