Social Media Specialist – Duties and Responsibilities
1. Strategy Development and Implementation Develop and implement tailored social media strategies for each company or brand within the group. Align social media plans with the broader marketing and business objectives of each entity. Identify trends, target audiences, and platform-specific best practices to guide strategy.
2. Content Creation and Curation Create, schedule, and publish high-quality, engaging, and brand-aligned content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok). Design graphics, write captions, and source multimedia in collaboration with content designers and brand managers. Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and visual identity across all brands.
3. Community Management Monitor and engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Manage reputation by addressing negative feedback and escalating issues when needed. Foster community growth and interaction on each brand's platform.
4. Analytics and Reporting Track, measure, and report on performance metrics such as engagement, reach, conversions, and ROI for each brand. Use tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and Hootsuite/Sprout Social to generate insights. Recommend optimizations based on data and trends.
5. Campaign Management Plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, product launches, and events across multiple brands. Collaborate with internal marketing, design, and PR teams to ensure cohesive messaging. Manage paid social media advertising budgets and monitor ad performance.
6. Coordination Across Brands Liaise with marketing teams or managers from each company to ensure social strategies are tailored and integrated. Maintain a content calendar for each brand and ensure there is no overlap or conflict in messaging.
7. Brand Monitoring and Crisis Management Monitor mentions and online sentiment for all brands. Flag potential PR issues and support crisis communication efforts on social media.
8. Platform and Trend Monitoring Stay updated with social media trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes. Evaluate and recommend emerging platforms or features that could benefit the group's companies.
9. Influencer and Partnership Coordination Identify and collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors, or partners that fit each brand's audience. Negotiate contracts and manage deliverables and timelines.
10. Training and Support Educate internal stakeholders on social media best practices. Provide guidance or templates for other teams to use if they manage their own channels.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday (Compressed Work Week), Saturday and Sunday, Rest Days
WORK HOURS: Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m; Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Compressed Work Hours)
