We have an excellent opportunity for a Test Automation Developer to join our growing team. You will work with a group of talented developers, building out any software the company requires. You will work on all aspects of the test suite, such as developing new features, writing tests, and updating the CI/CD pipeline. We're looking for developers who value their soft skills as much as their technical ones and are eager to help with technical problems.

What does a day in the life as a Test Automation Developer look like?

  • Write automated tests using Playwright, Appium, Postman or other test frameworks to identify software problems
  • Maintain test automation framework and scripts for end-to-end tests
  • Log defects with clear reproduction steps and detail defect artifacts in Gitlab
  • Coordinate and participate in feature requirements review for testability, sign off on test strategy
  • Work closely with developers to assist in debugging, testing, and development of tools to help identify defects
  • Available to help troubleshoot critical customer issues, including reproducing issues, analyzing application logs, or clarifying intended feature functionality
  • Perform automated and manual testing, including regression testing for each release cycle to ensure software meets business and security requirements

What are the required qualifications for a Test Automation Developer?

  • 5+ years of experience in Test Automation or as a Developer
  • Proficient in UI automation using Playwright
  • Self-starter and quick learner with excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong JavaScript or TypeScript development skills in testing and debugging software
  • Experience with testing RESTful APIs using Postman or
  • Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools like Locust
  • Familiar with continuous integration pipelines such as Gitlab, Jenkins
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines ( GitLab CI).
  • A good understanding of different software testing techniques and when to apply them
  • Deep commitment and passion for maintaining quality
  • Strong ability to collaborate with QA teams, developers, and other stakeholders.
